The pain/loss/absence of your loved one/friend/family member is a constant ache/a gaping wound/an ever-present shadow. Memories/Moments/Glimmers of them flash before you/linger like ghosts/dance in your dreams, both comforting and agonizing/joyful and heart-wrenching/sweet and painful.

Battling Addiction's Grip

It's a vicious trap, this thing called addiction. One minute you're reaching for that fleeting feeling of control, and the next you're drowning in its grip. Your body is ensnared by cravings, your thoughts controlled by a force you can barely comprehend. You yearn for that feeling, knowing full well it's only going to bring more destruction. It's a journey/process/difficult path that requires courage/vulnerability/strength, and it may never be easy/always feel challenging/come with its struggles.
